Tips to Understanding Your Lecturer
First of all, get more sleep. That will be most of the solution, because we know all too well that college can be a stress on your brain. Take a break.
After you feel that you’re more focused in class, you can begin to not only hear the words your professor speaks, but also comprehend them. Retention of information is key to understanding.
If you can, try taking extensive notes or record the lecture and replay it. Ask questions if you feel that you’re lost, and often times, the answer will be simple enough for all the pieces to fit together again.
After trying your best to pay attention and learn during class, if nothing seems to work, try working with your classmates after school for study tips or a review of the concepts. Consult your professor, or consider getting a tutor. (Make sure that you get a tutor only if it’s the last straw — you don’t want to spoil your learning habits.)
